About Me

My name is Darren Liu.

I work in tech at multiple Cannabis companies.

I taught myself how to create content and build websites while in high school.

I did not go to college.

I’ve worked over 40+ something odd jobs including KFC chef, Solar City roof surveyor, Radio Shack phone technician, CNC machinist, WFG Life Insurance salesman, multiple warehouse positions, I even almost joined the US Marines at one point, and this was all before I committed to working in tech.

I’ve worked inhouse and as a freelancer for digital marketing agencies, some general, some focused on certain industries and niches like vaping, medical, healthcare and more.

I’ve worked with some of the biggest cannabis companies including: Weedmaps, High Times Magazine, Bay Smokes, Hidden Hills Club, and more.

Today, I am continuing to work with multiple companies, developing sites, apps and internal tools using a combination of AI and well-established platforms like WordPress/Shopify.

In my spare time, I like to play with my cat and share my expanding knowledge of tech work and the cannabis industry.
