SPIRITUAL SUFFERING

3 types of pains that cause the most spiritual misery and how to avoid it.

Confusion is not knowing what to do.

Anxiety is knowing what to do and not doing it.

REGRET is knowing what should’ve been done and no longer being able to do it.

To avoid confusion, you must know what to do. That means from the moment you wake up to the moment you sleep. Every day in the calendar, every holiday, every special occasion, even the unplanned events, must all be mentally accounted for.

To avoid anxiety, you must be actively doing the thing you know should be doing. This means directly all energy, attention, focus and action towards one’s internal instruction set that is temporarily halting the forementioned pain of confusion.

Regret is the worst pain, in that it has no cure aside from redemption which may or may never come. Regret ceases to exist, should the actions of one beforehand be sufficient or affect enough positive change over a given period of time that anything done during the confusion and anxiety period has lead only to gains and rewards. Regret is best avoided through never being given the chance for the seed to take place to begin with. If one is not confused, nor anxious, than subsequently they will also not feel regret. However should either the first or second condition not be fully met, than regret is still bound to take place due to the laws of pain.

Confusion

One is confused, when they do not know whether to go left or right, up or down, back or forward. However if there is clarity, and one knows actually what direction to take and when, then they are most assuredly not confused. One can be lost, in that there is not enough context or data to base which direction to go in. However, being lost is more a matter of lack of knowledge, than it is to have useful information and not have any idea on how to action on it. Confusion often stems from lack of conviction, readiness and deception (whether self or externally induced). It is as the term goes being “stuck in the mud” mentally.

Confusion can be converted to clarity, its opposite light, and can happen through chance, acts of God (miracles) or traditionally through brute forcing ones reality off grit, hard work and genius. Confusion is the easiest to solve and can naturally over time be conquered through simply perpetually staying in motion.

Anxiety

Anxiety is the most difficult pain to conquer as it requires us to directly reflect on our daily actions. Did we pursue our goals and if so was there any effectiveness? Sometimes the wrong thing is just as bad as doing nothing which can further compound our anxiety. Anxiety gathers where action is supposed to take place despite their being inaction. And in some cases, action itself can drastically fuel anxiety if it were to harm the overall desired outcome. Therefore the less confused one is, the more likely they are to equally be less anxious, only if they are wise enough to act upon the clarity of path they’ve been bestowed.

By seizing the moment and taking advantage of the clarity one has, will greatly stave off all air of anxiety. Taking the wheel of life, pressing down on the gas, and directing the engine in some direction related to the path one must take, is the most logical and effective way to rid one of the pains of anxiety. Anxiety can never be fully removed until one has absolutely zero confusion about their life.

Regret

Without the spiritual manifestation of confusion or anxiety, one cannot be made to feel regret, as the prerequisite energy does not add up. Nevertheless, so long as one continues to live, there may always be room for confusion and anxiety, and thus regret. As new experiences unfold and lessons are learned, tastes and wants change, and so does the need to make clear of any and all situations one finds themselves in.

A life without regret means a life that was lived clearly and purposefully, with no room for bullshit. When bullshit enters the picture, things start getting muddled, standards fall, duties are not performed up to par, and thus regret creeps in. Regret, again, is best avoided through prevention in the first place. Leave no chance for one to be confused or feel anxious, and the evisceration of regret as a by-product of self-determination is due.

Spiritual Misery

Spiritual misery is worse than general pains and affliction, because it is a wound that has no scar. The marks are forever embedded within the astral and metaphysical. Ego, consciousness, persona, anima, character, these are all things that have a spiritual quality, and once put to the fire, the pain is just as great any that is physical.

It hurts the heart, irks the soul, and saddens the ancients, to see one in spiritual misery. For life is precious, how it is to be lived should be sacred in practice. One should never be negligent of the soul, for from there flows all things great about the human experience. And from our heart, we are guided deeper into our personal journey, one that may never end, even in our predetermined finale.

The true greatness of one’s life is measured by how much physical pain he has endured, and how much spiritual pain he has avoided during his stay as a living being.
