As someone who works with AI tools everyday, I believe blogs are going to make a big comeback in the future.
And I’m not talking about magazine blogs, or mini news sites. I’m talking about personal blogs, written by the human it was based on. Like when the internet first started, and everyone wanted to contribute a piece.
The importance of blogs is 2 fold.
1. Human-generated content is becoming more rare
By 2030, most marketing campaigns will be made with AI. Every product image, photoshoot, video ad will most likely be built by agents or human’s who are given a prompt.
Philosophy will have to be reinvented to adapt to a human-machine mindset, as people become more and more artificial themselves.
Original thought is going to become as valuable as a lost Da Vinci painting. As every thought and idea will simply be replicas, templates, copies of something that already was.
Those with truly unique minds will be forced into the system, to serve the will of corporations or be forced into finding their own path through the mindless hive-minded swarm of NPCs. The latter being the hard choice, as the system will throw every incentive and dangle every carrot possible to have an untainted mind be assimilated.
Those who can think for themselves, for others, and for the machine will find themselves most comfortable in this new world.
2. One’s name is the important asset
A website with a name behind it commands immediate authority. Or at the least, it bypasses one of the many “intelligence checks” that prospective employers or would be clients look for.
A person who has claimed a proper .com or .co, .ai, etc. domain in his own domain, is saying to the world, “here I am, listen to what I have to say.” It does not matter what the content is, the fact that a house exists on this hill is what matters. There is human life here, and human life is valuable.
What one can do with his or her name, I cannot say, but the possibilities are infinite. Through one’s name, entire generations are forged and cared for. Through one’s name, empires and kingdoms are built and razed.
And where else to learn the inner workings of a man than his own personal domain?
Should I ever become someone worthy of the world to recognize and follow, than at the very least I will have left a paper trail, bread crumbs for another man to take in and become even better.
